Students at COPLAC institutions have the opportunity to present the results of their undergraduate research at regional conferences where they can meet and discuss their work with peers and faculty. Undergraduate projects come from all disciplines and afford students the prospect of intellectual engagement beyond the formal classroom setting. Outstanding projects are featured in COPLAC's online journal Metamorphosis.

Conference components include: oral presentations, poster presentations, creative writing presentations, live performances (Northeast), visual art exhibitions (Northeast & Midwest). Many students at COPLAC institutions continue their projects in graduate school, having been prepared for the career world by COPLAC’s commitment to mentored research and creative work.
